SFM seeks to facilitate greater understanding and contribute to the discussion in research, policy and information communities.

The Arab Council for the Social Sciences (ACSS), Beirut, Lebanon

The Arab Council for the Social Sciences (ACSS) is a regional, independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the strengthening social science research and knowledge production in the Arab world. By supporting researchers and academic/research institutions, the ACSS aims to contribute to the creation, dissemination, validation and utilization of social science research and to enrich public debate about the challenges facing Arab societies. The ACSS also aims to enhance the role of social science in Arab public life and inform public policy in the region.

The Arab Reform Initiative (ARI), Paris, France

Initiative is the leading independent Arab think-thank working    with expert partners in the Middle East and North Africa and beyond to articulate a home grown agenda for democratic change. It conducts research and policy analysis and provides a platform for inspirational voices based on the principles of diversity, impartiality and social justice. Its aim is to see vibrant democratic societies emerge and grow in the region. Founded in 2005, the Arab Reform Initiative is governed by a Plenary of its member and an Executive Committee.

The Center for Strategic Studies (CSS) at the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan

The Center for Strategic Studies was established in 1984 as the first academic center in the University of Jordan. The Center for Strategic Studies is aiming at conducting studies in political, military, economic, and social aspects of issues that interest Jordan and the Arab world, connected to the security of the region, and affect its future, in addition to holding opinion polls, with the goal of providing researchers and policy makers necessary facts and data, organizing events and activities like seminars and conferences.

The Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs at the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon

The AUB Policy Institute (Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs) is an independent, research-based, policy-oriented institute. Inaugurated in 2006, the institute aims to harness, develop, and initiate policy-relevant research in the Arab region; and to creating a space for the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas among researchers, civil society actors and policy-makers. The goals of the Institute are: enhancing and broadening public policy-related debate and knowledge production in the Arab world and beyond; Better understanding the Arab world within shifting international and global contexts; Providing a space to enrich the quality of interaction among scholars, officials and civil society actors in and about the Arab world.

The Stony Brook University Institute for Global Studies, Stony Brook, New York, USA

The Stony Brook Institute for Global Studies (SBIGS) focuses on the social, cultural, political, and historical dimensions of societal change. Global problems are not restrained by academic disciplines. The Institute seeking new ways to: bridge disciplinary boundaries with inter- and transdisciplinary research; facilitate creative activities across departmental and divisional borders; enhance global graduate and undergraduate education; cooperate with sister institutes worldwide; obtain funding from a variety of external sources; provide local, national, and international consulting; offer seminars, colloquia, lectures, workshops and conferences on global issues.
